No smoking on the streets in certain parts of Tokyo. I read that this wasn't about public health but that apparently women were complaining that their cloths were being ruined by cigarette burns (due to the crowding) so the government outlawed smoking on busy streets. I read it in The New York Times so take it for what it's worth.
