Beautiful Japanese asphalt. How they manage to keep all their roads looking freshly-paved remains a mystery to me.
I suppose the only way is to continuously re-pave them. This might have something to do with the current scandal
involving the Japanese government's building of useless highways in order to create jobs and therefore plunging their
national debt further into the red. Whatever their reason, I sure appreciate the new-ness of everything, from the
asphalt to the road signs to the buildings. Makes Japan seem so... artificial (in a good way).
